The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Miami Dolphins 31-17 in Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Eagles took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on touchdown passes from Jalen Hurts to A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert. The Dolphins responded with a touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa to Tyreek Hill, but the Eagles scored another touchdown in the second quarter on a run by Kenneth Gainwell to take a 21-7 lead into halftime.

The Eagles added another touchdown in the third quarter on a pass from Hurts to DeVonta Smith. The Dolphins scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter on a pass from Tagovailoa to Jaylen Waddle, but the Eagles sealed the victory with a field goal by Jake Elliott.

Hurts finished the game with 316 passing yards and four touchdowns. Brown had 125 receiving yards and a touchdown. Goedert had 70 receiving yards and a touchdown. Gainwell had 44 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Tagovailoa finished the game with 285 passing yards and two touchdowns. Hill had 110 receiving yards and a touchdown. Waddle had 86 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The Eagles were the better team in this game. They played well on both sides of the ball. The offense was efficient, scoring four touchdowns and averaging 5.5 yards per play. The defense was dominant, holding the Dolphins to 17 points and forcing two turnovers.

The Dolphins struggled in this game. The offense was unable to move the ball consistently, and the defense was unable to stop the Eagles.


The Eagles improved to 5-2 with the victory. The Dolphins fell to 3-4 with the loss.

The Eagles will look to continue their winning streak when they travel to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8. The Dolphins will look to get back on track when they host the Detroit Lions in Week 8.
