The Patriots responded with a field goal by Nick Folk and a touchdown pass from Mac Jones to Hunter Henry in the second quarter, but the Bills took a 17-10 lead into halftime on a touchdown pass from Allen to Gabe Davis.

The Patriots tied the game in the third quarter on a touchdown pass from Jones to DeVante Parker, and they took a 22-17 lead on a touchdown run by Rhamondre Stevenson. The Bills tied the game in the fourth quarter on a field goal by Bass, but the Patriots won the game on a touchdown pass from Jones to Kendrick Bourne.

Jones finished the game with 243 passing yards and three touchdowns. Stevenson had 101 rushing yards and a touchdown. Henry had 51 receiving yards and a touchdown. Parker had 48 receiving yards and a touchdown. Bourne had 46 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Allen finished the game with 254 passing yards and two touchdowns. Diggs had 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. Davis had 78 receiving yards and a touchdown.
